About us
We are an international-minded school. APS currently teaches from kindergarten (2 years) through 12th grade. In APS We use a CURRICULUM STEAM integrated in English. Based on 5 pillars.
S = science
T = technology
E = Engineering
A = arts
M = Mathematics
This provides an educational approach to learning that uses science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics as access points to guide students' research, dialogue and critical thinking, and develop the skills of the 21st century.
The final results are students who take well-thought-out risks, participate in experimental learning, persist in problem solving, adopt collaboration and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders and apprentices of the 21st century.
Because we are a Panamanian Private School, governed by MEDUCA (Ministry of Education), it is mandatory to teach Spanish and social studies in the national language. All our books are chosen to cover Panamanian and international standards.
APS offers an international combined program for preschool, primary, secondary school. We follow a solid integrated STEAM curriculum education program in English.

Why the CURRICULAR STEAM EDUCATION? The logic is simple: the wave of future economic prosperity lies in a workforce that is well versed in the rising labor market, such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We are an international-minded school.
We base our programs and beliefs on the student's profile. We are not an IB school. We are working with some aspects of their proposal. We look forward to requesting certification in the future when the time comes and we are ready for it.
That said, we are explaining what it means to be an international-minded school, which makes us Who We Are in the Educational Territory of Panama. Amelia’s Private School Panama follows all the guidelines established by the educational authorities in the country until the 9th grade.
